THE ART OF RETAIL LIGHTING

Light elicits an emotional response which in turn drives behaviour. In the case of retail spaces, this takes the form of navigation and purchasing decisions.

Often, lighting design in retail spaces is driven by lux levels, with technical data dictating how a space is lit.

At Studio R, we believe in the emotional response. As concept lighting designers, we work with our clients to understand the nuances of their spaces before proposing bespoke lighting solutions.

As part of Shoplight, we have unrestricted access to a product range designed for the task of lighting retail spaces. However, we are not inhibited by any manufacturer range of products as, creatively, we are totally independent.

Our focus is on working with retail and interior designers to form concepts that demonstrate how we believe light can create an emotional response to a retail space, while enhancing merchandise and architecture. We then propose the perfect luminaires to deliver stunning lit environments.
