Bailey Shortland

“One of the biggest challenges is defying the norm that branding isn’t essential for B2B companies and Shoplight really have disrupted that stereotype.”

Joining Shoplight in our peak period of 2019, Bailey originally worked under the warehouse manager, helping to process inbound and outbound goods. Labelling and packaging, Bailey began learning how the lighting industry works, and how Shoplight operates from the bottom up. Since he started studying a BA Business and Management at the University of Portsmouth, Bailey’s role has changed and developed towards Marketing Assistant.

“I enjoy taking what I’ve been taught and University and putting it into practice through Shoplight.”

Bailey’s role is very varied due to his diverse skill set. He may be tasked with anything from Social Media posts to setting up a new logistics system, from designing logos to staff training.

“One of the biggest challenges is defying the norm that branding isn’t essential for B2B companies and Shoplight really have disrupted that stereotype.”

With Shoplight entering its sixth year of operating, Bailey reiterates the fact that the high street is developing every year and Shoplight will be by retailer’s side to match them with the expert lighting solution.
