“In just over a year I’ve developed concepts for all types of retail brands and stores; from fashion to automotive, flagships to rollout.”
“Shoplight is a company that I’ve seen develop over the last few years and so, when the opportunity came to join the business in order to develop the Studio R brand, I felt it was something I really wanted to be part of.”
Eoin joined the business in November 2018 at the same time as we developed our Studio R brand.
“It became apparent that, whilst our technical lighting design service has always been well received by our clients, we knew there was an opportunity to provide a more conceptual, detailed lighting design service particularly to interior designers. We felt it was a real step-change as our competitors offer nothing like it and so, to embrace this change, we felt it was only right to develop a new brand so that our customers can understand what we do and how it can help them.”
Eoin joined Studio R from LAPD where he spent 14 years working with some of the largest retail brands in the UK.
“In just over a year I’ve developed concepts for all types of retail brands and stores; from fashion to automotive, flagships to roll-out, the work has been really varied and we are told we’re already adding great value to the work carried out by our interior designer clients. I’ve really enjoyed developing the brand and I’m looking forward to demonstrating further what we do and how we do it.”
Eoin undertakes conceptual design from sketches to renders, which is then supported by a technical lighting design service. Because Studio R is part of Shoplight, there is a standard range of luminaires from which Studio R select.
“It’s an expansive and interesting range which is perfectly suited to retail and F&B projects by design. Any concepts that require fittings not within this range are sourced from B2B partners in order to source the right luminaire or create bespoke solutions. I’m really excited about seeing our concepts turn in to reality on retail projects where perhaps, without the service Studio R offers, we may not have been invited to work on.”
