Biopolymer — A Better Material
The biopolymer materials we use come from sugar cane, a productive and water-efficient plant. It is also land-efficient and mainly irrigated by natural rainfall. Like all plants, it captures CO2 during growth. Sugar cane is harvested, milled, and then split into sugar and ethanol, with its leftover pulp used as biofuel to power industries and cities.
When fermented the ethanol creates bioethanol, which forms the basis for the NonOilen and GreenTEC Pro biopolymers we use. Both conform to standards for biodegradability and compostability (EN13432 and EN14855). We use the best biopolymers currently available for 3D printing.
